It has been three years since a legend entered into her final rest. She was born on January 5, 1917 and went on to be one of Hollywood's most respected and talented actresses. Her impressive film credits include Magnificent Obsession, The Yearling, The Blue Veil and How to Committ Marriage. In 1948 she appeared in the film Johnny Belinda and earned an Academy Award for her work. In the 1950's she hosted "Jane Wyman Presents the Fireside Theatre" and finally became known to a new generation of fans as Angela Channing on the CBS prime time soap opera "Falcon Crest." Angela was the ruthless matriarch who ruled over the fictional Tuscany Valley with an iron fist. "Falcon Crest" ran from 1981 to 1990, 9 seasons and produced 227 episodes.
