Gloria Stuart

Born: July 4, 1910 Died: September 26, 2010 An actress who appeared on stage, film and and television recently left at the remarkable age of 100... She began in films in 1932 and had a steady run until 1939. She made more appearances in 1944 and 1946 and then retired. She returned to acting in 1975 by appearing in the TV movie "The Legend of Lizzie Borden" which starred Elizabeth Montgomery... Other television credits include "The Waltons", "Murder, She Wrote", "The Invisible Man", Touched by an Angel" and "General Hospital." In 1997, at the age of 87, she found brand new fame by appearing as the 100 year old survivor of the Titanic in the film of the same name...thanks to her work in the movie she became the oldest woman in cinema history to ever be nominated for an Oscar... In 2001 she returned to world of mystery when she played a woman old enough to remember the seeing slaves escape on the underground railroad in the TV movie "Murder, She Wrote: The Last Free Man."
