301 Begins on a Sad Note

A wonderful television personality left us yesterday... Born: July 17, 1912... He was the only person in TV history to have five shows concurrently on network TV... His marriage to a lady named Lois Foerster began in November 1935, and at 74.5 years it is one of the longest Hollywood marriages in history... Some of his programs included "House Party" which was on both radio and television. He was also involved in "People Are Funny" and "The Art Linkletter Show" as well as "Kids Say the Darnest Things." As himself he appeared on "Pantomime Quiz", "The Dinah Shore Chevy Show", "The Tonight Show", "I've Got a Secret", "What's My Line?", "The Dean Martin Show", "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson", "The Hollywood Squares", "The Lucy Show", "Here's Lucy", "Batman" and "The Jack Benny Program." He also made guest appearances on "The Red Skelton Show", "Wagon Train" and "General Electric Theater" just to name a few. His resume was quite impressive and certainly hasn't been covered in its entirety here... As stated he passed away on May 26, 2010 at the remarkable age of 97... In Memoriam Remembers: Art Linkletter
