This post is coming six days late because of my stupidity and bad memory.

She was born on January 6, 1907.  December 28, 2013 was the tenth anniversary of this lady's passing, she left us on December 28, 2003 at the age of 96.  Her career as a character actress was remarkable and she appeared in film, on television and on radio.

Her film credits include Kansas City Confidential, Half a Hero, 99 River Street, Witness to Murder, Magnificent Obsession, Hush...Hush Sweet Charlotte and The Manchurian Candidate.  Many of these appearances were uncredited.  

On radio she could be heard frequently on "Gunsmoke" and "Dragnet."

Her longest running character role was as Miss Mamie Baldwin on "The Waltons."  She appeared in 66 episodes of the series between 1972 and 1981.  She was also present for five out of the six Walton reunion movies: two of them aired in 1982 and the remainders aired in 1993, 1995 and 1997.  "A Walton's Easter" in 1997 was her final acting role.
