This is another post coming a little late because of my bad memory (in part). Monday, January 6, 2014 marked 18 years since the passing of a wonderful character actress from the finest days in Hollywood. Born on May 30, 1899, her career went from radio to film and television.  She could be heard as Katy the maid on radio's "My Favorite Husband" from 1948 to 1951 and on television she guest starred on such programs as "I Love Lucy", "Dragnet", "The Great Gildersleeve", "Peter Gunn", "The Gale Storm Show: Oh! Susanna", "Make Room for Daddy", "The Bill Dana Show" and "The Patty Duke Show." She passed away on January 6, 1996 and age 96. In Memoriam Remembers: Ruth Perrott

This post is coming six days late because of my stupidity and bad memory. She was born on January 6, 1907.  December 28, 2013 was the tenth anniversary of this lady's passing, she left us on December 28, 2003 at the age of 96.  Her career as a character actress was remarkable and she appeared in film, on television and on radio. Her film credits include Kansas City Confidential, Half a Hero, 99 River Street, Witness to Murder, Magnificent Obsession, Hush...Hush Sweet Charlotte and The Manchurian Candidate.  Many of these appearances were uncredited.   On radio she could be heard frequently on "Gunsmoke" and "Dragnet." Her television career was much more extensive...(not a complete list):  "I Love Lucy" "The Man Behind the Badge" "Lux Video Theatre" "Date with the Angels" "Code 3" "Climax!" "Dragnet" - 6 episodes (1950s version) "The Loretta Young Show" ...
