Born: November 4, 1918
His body of work was impressive...to say the least. He covered it all - radio, stage, television and film...he received Emmys and an Oscar for his work...
To millions of fans he will always be that happy go lucky sewer worker Ed Norton from Jackie Gleason's brilliant creation "The Honeymooners." He played the character on "Cavalcade of Stars" (1951-1952), "The Jackie Gleason Show (1952-1955, 1956-1957), "The Honeymooners" (1955-1956), "Jackie Gleason and His American Scene Magazine" (1962, 1966) and the second version of "The Jackie Gleason Show" (1966-1970). He returned for five specials, the first in 1973 and the remainder between 1976 and 1978.
All in all, a marvelous actor with a great talent for both comedy and drama...
He passed away on this day 9 years ago...
