A fine actor was born on this day 106 years ago... His film career began in 1938 and he went onto appear in such projects as Brother Rat, The Fuller Brush Girl, The Longest Day and The Longest Yard. On television he starred in "Leave it to Larry" in the 1950's and from 1965 to 1971 he played Oliver Wendell Douglas on the hit rural sitcom "Green Acres."  He also brought his character to "Green Acres" sister shows "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Petticoat Junction."  Some other television credits include "Robert Montgomery Presents", "The Philco-Goodyear Television Playhouse", "Climax!", "Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse", "Playhouse 90", "Wagon Train", "The Love Boat", "Murder, She Wrote" and "Falcon Crest."  His time on "Falcon Crest" reunited him with his Brother Rat co-star, Jane Wyman.  His final guest role (and acting project) w...

Howard Keel (April 13, 1919 - November 7, 2004) -MGM film star, mostly musicals and westerns, also appeared on television ("Here's Lucy", "The Love Boat") and co-starred opposite Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Barbara Bel Geddes and others when he played oil baron Clayton Farlow on the hit prime time soap opera "Dallas" from 1981 to 1991. Don Adams (April 13, 1923 - September 25, 2005) -Film and television star best known as Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 on "Get Smart" from 1965 to 1970.  Also appeared on "The Steve Allen Show" and "The Bill Dana Show."  In later years he returned as Maxwell Smart in the 1980 film The Nude Bomb, the 1989 TV-movie "Get Smart, Again!" and the 1995 revivial of the show.  In the world of animation he provided the voice of Tennessee Tuxedo and Inspector Gadget.
