I've admired this actor for about fourteen years now since he provided the voice of the villianous Farmer Brown in an episode of "The New Batman Adventures." His first film appearance was uncredited in Thunder Road in 1958. His first screen credit didn't come until The Beatniks in 1960. In 1956 he made his first appearance on television in an episode of "Sheriff of Cochise" playing a character named Doyle Ranker. He would later reprise the role on an episode of "U.S. Marshal." From 1959 to 1960 he appeared on the series "Black Saddle" and from 1960 to 1962 he appeared on "Maverick." In 1965 he began playing the role that earned him a place in television history.
