Penny Singleton
The cartoon legend began her career in 1930. She appeared in various films throughout the decade including playing the title role in Blondie. She played Blondie Bumstead in 29 films between 1938 and 1950...Her television credits include "Pulitzer Prize Playhouse", "Death Valley Days", "The Twilight Zone" and "Murder, She Wrote." During the 1962-1963 television season she lent her voice to the now iconic Jane Jetson, matriarch of the Jetson family on "The Jetsons." In 1985 she returned to the role of Jane in "The Jetsons Christmas Carol." She followed up that performance with "The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones" in 1987, "Rockin' with Judy Jetson" in 1988, "The Fantastic World of Hanna-Barbera" in 1990 and "Jetsons: The Movie" also in 1990...
At the time of her passing she had 57 acting credits to her name.
She passed away on November 12, 2003...
