Happy 90th Birthday to a wonderful actor with an incredible talent... When he began his career he appeared on some of television's earliest programs. Starting with the "Lux Video Theatre" he went on to appear on "Mister Peepers", "Suspense", "The Philco-Goodyear Television Playhouse", "Robert Montgomery Presents", "Goodyear Playhouse", "The United States Steel Hour", "Climax!", "Route 66", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre", "The DuPont Show of the Week" and "Dr. Kildare." He appeared on Broadway in 1955 in Guys and Dolls but sadly it closed after only sixteen performances. In 1965 he appeared opposite Art Carney in The Odd Couple... In the last 1960's he began appearing in films and never stopped. Among his classic films are A Guide for the Married Man, The Odd Couple, Hello, Dolly!, Cactus Flower, The Sunshine Boys, Dennis the Menace, Grumpy Old Men, I.Q., Grumpier Old Men, Out to Sea and The Odd Couple II... The actor along with good friend and frequent co-star appeared in films together. Through out the 1960's, 1970's and 1990's he had a run with bad health, the most recurring ailment was heart trouble... His final film appearance was in Hanging Up which was released on February 18, 2000. At the time of his passing on July 1, 2000 he had 103 acting credits to his name... On his birthday!
