June 30, 1995
His career will always be defined by his association of Lucille Ball but before he became her blustery co-star in the 1960's he was one of American radios most beloved actors...
Radio credits include "Fibber McGee and Molly", "The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show", "My Favorite Husband", "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", "The Great Gildersleeve" and "Our Miss Brooks" just to name a few.
Some other television credits include "The Brothers", "Climax!", "Playhouse 90", "Pete and Gladys" and "The Donna Reed Show."
In addition to working with Lucille Ball on radio he also appeared on all five of her weekly television shows...he guest starred on "I Love Lucy" and "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour" and had regular roles on "The Lucy Show", "Here's Lucy" and "Life with Lucy." He was also present for her television specials in 1964, 1977 and 1980...
A wonderful actor with an incredible dry wit.....to say nothing of his perfect timing and delivery has made us laugh since we (and televison) were born....
15 years after his passing...
In Memoriam Remembers:
