Hamilton Camp

Born: October 30, 1934 He may have been vertically challenged but none the less he was still incredibly funny…his crisp and chirpy voice really brought warmth and great love to every role he performed… He began his career playing in bit parts in various films as far back as 1946. One of the more notable films he appeared in was 1953’s Titanic… On television he had regular roles on “He & She” from 1967 to 1968 and “Just Our Luck” in 1983… As the 1980’s got underway he became very involved with voice over’s and work in animation. From 1984 to 1985 he lent his voice to Meitantei Holmes. From 1987 to 1990 he was cast member of the Disney classic “DuckTales” playing the scatterbrained Fenton Crackshell and his alter ego superhero “GizmoDuck.” “DuckTales” is a very important part of my childhood…the adventures of Scrooge McDuck (voice of Alan Young) and his grand-nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. Surrounded by all their crazy friends including Scrooge’s housekeeper Mrs. Betina Beakley and her granddaughter Webby, his majordomo Duckworth, his pilot Launchpad and his quirky inventor Gyro Gearloose they took on such foes as Flintheart Glomgold, Gladstone Gander, Magica DeSpell and Ma Beagle and her boys. He also lent his voice to other Disney productions such as “Talespin”, “Darkwing Duck” and “Bonkers.” “Tiny Toon Adventures”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Aladdin”, “The Zeta Project” and “House of Mouse” were not far behind. In the mid-1990’s he made two guest appearances on “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” as the author H.G.Wells. In the story, H.G. Wells successful completed his time machine and traveled to various place i.e. never ended up passing away as he could travel to a time before his death. Actor Terry Kiser also portrayed Wells whenever the younger version of Wells would appear. His other television credits include (not complete): “Fireside Theatre” “The Andy Griffith Show” “Bewitched” “Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.” “Bonanza” “Make Room for Granddaddy” “Mary Tyler Moore” “Love, American Style” “Starsky and Hutch” “McMillan & Wife” “Laverne & Shirley” “Too Close for Comfort” “Three’s Company” “Soap” “Trapper John, M.D.” “WKRP in Cincinnati” “Mork & Mindy” “Alice” “The Twilight Zone” “Cheers” “Hill Street Blues” “Murphy Brown” “Saved by the Bell” “Mama’s Family” “ER” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” “Titus” “Desperate Housewives” A great actor…a wonderful gift!
