He made his first appearance on television in 1949 on “Your Show Time.” His other appearances include “Lux Video Theatre”, “The Gale Storm Show”, “The Untouchables”, “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea”, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, “My Favorite Martian”, “The Beverly Hillbillies”, “Perry Mason”, “Get Smart”, “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies”, “Batman”, “I Spy”, “Mayberry R.F.D.” and “Kojak.”
He made three memorable appearances on the “Adventures of Superman” during its first season. In the episode “The Stolen Costume”, he plays Ace, a crook who comes to obtain Superman’s costume and later his secret identity. The most memorable part of the show is when Ace and his moll Connie (Veda Ann Borg) try to escape from the mountain hideaway that Superman (George Reeves) brings them to in order to keep them quiet. Viewers witness the two villains fall to their deaths. In “The Mind Machine” he plays Lou Kranek “The Kingpin of Organized Crime” who kidnaps Dr. Edward Stanton (Griff Barnett) and forces his to use his invention, a machine that can destroy people’s minds, to prevent witnesses from testifying against him. In his final appearance, “The Runaway Robot”, he plays Rocco, a henchman just itching to hit someone with a hammer…
His final film appearance was in The Manhandlers in 1975 and his final television appearance was on “Fantasy Island” in 1978…
