Remembering "Murder, She Wrote" stars and guest stars [982]

"Murder, She Wrote" began on September 30, 1984, in honor of the show's 29th anniversary we are going to look back at the wonderful list of actors that appeared on the show during its twelve season run.  The list is long so I shortened it to just twenty-five names.  Star Angela Lansbury is still with us, at the time of this writing she is 87 years old.  Long time recurring cast members Ron Masak (77) and Julie Adams (87) are also still with us. Remembering the cast of "The Lone Ranger" (1949-1957) [966]

September 14, 1914 (some sources say 1908) - the birthday of Clayton Moore.  In honor of his birthday we are remembering the cast of the television series that made him a star.  Moore passed away in 1999. "The Lone Ranger" ran on ABC television from 1949 to 1957, producing 221 episodes over the course of five television seasons.  Jay Silverheels (1912-1980) played Tonto Fred Foy (1921-2010) was the announcer During the 1952-1953 season The Lone Ranger was played by John Hart (1917-2009) while Moore was engaged in a salary dispute.  Gerald Mohr (1914-1968) could be heard in some 1949 episodes as the narrator Lane Bradford (1922-1973) played Duke Wade Chuck Courtney (1930-2000) played Dan Reid, The Lone Ranger's nephew *The character of Dan Reid was an ancestor of Britt Reid, who of course, was The Green Hornet*
